Respite care

Even the most dedicated carers need 'time out' to care for themselves.

Caring is a constant, sometimes taxing task. Coming up for air every so often is refreshing and enhances wellbeing. As a carer, taking a break to spend time with your friends, go shopping, dine out, see a movie or attend a special function is what you deserve and need to do.

Just Better Care can provide respite on a regular or occasional basis. We can even arrange to have shared respite sessions with the regular carer, to provide the carer and care recipient with time out together.

Respite support makes a positive difference in the life of a carer, as well as the person being cared for. The care recipient feels good knowing their regular carer is able to take a well-earned break, and also benefits from the variety of company that our respite staff provides.

We can provide respite care:

  • In the home
  • In the community
  • Accompanied or unaccompanied by the regular carer
